Eric Mummery is a visual artist from London, Ontario working primarily in printmaking and drawing along with wood carving. He is a member of Print London a group of professional artists who share a passion for printmaking. His current art practice is focused on a series of wood engravings exploring intuitive image creation as a means to better understand mental health issues. Eric studied printmaking at the Nova Scotia College of Art and Design University.
His prints have been shown in juried and invitational exhibitions in Canada, the US, Taiwan, Belgium, Poland, Serbia, France and most recently in the Eighth international contemporary Miniprint of Kazanlak where he was awarded first prize in traditional printmaking.
Eric also dabbles in spoon carving from salvaged green lumber he picks up while walking the trails in his home town.
